Bison Medicine (2025) invites you to connect with our nation’s family history (Part 1) and acknowledge the way our institutions limit freedom and equality (Parts 2 & 3).
In Part 4, you will meet the medicine of the bison - the teachings of courage, care, inclusion, independence, play, generativity, protection and redemption. In Parts 5-8, you’ll discover the deeper meaning of, and the latest research and best practices to, fulfill our nation’s purpose: “All... are Created Equal”, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, and “E Pluribus Unum”. In Part 9, you’ll be invited to fulfill your own purpose and follow the bison’s guidance to fulfill the purpose of our nation through your leadership. You'll finish the book with a clear understanding of our history, purpose, our path forward, and your role in leading it. The net proceeds of the book benefit American Prairie, an organization that works with First Nations to acquire land and protect the natural habitat of the bison, so they may once again be free and flourish. |

Purpose Work Nation (2022) is a guidebook for leaders who want to activate their purpose, leave a profound legacy, enjoy soulful connection, kinship and belonging at work, and play a critical role fulfilling the purpose of the United States.
The United States has a sacred purpose - to be the first multicultural nation to achieve unity (E Pluribus Unum) and flourishing (“...life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”). And yet these are increasingly out of reach for the majority of citizens: 97% of us are unhealthy, 78% of us are paycheck to paycheck, and 61% of us are lonely. And these are just the averages - life is much worse for women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ citizens, e.g., $.01 of black wealth for every dollar of white wealth. Given the dysfunction of our nation’s politics, the low (25%) trust of government, our deeply segregated education system, the decades-long slide in religion, and the comparatively high trust in one’s employer (72%), it increasingly falls on enterprise to fulfill our noble purpose.
